Mango Bay Resort, an extraordinary jungle resort on Phu Quoc Island was shortlisted as one of the 14 most beautiful jungle hotels in the world by the American magazine Travel + Leisure.
Stretching along the picture-postcard shoreline of Ong Lang Beach and surrounded by verdant natural splendor, Mango Bay Resort is a one-of-a-kind beachfront resort to relax and luxuriate in. Scattered on a vast area of 20 hectares are 40 bungalows that make use of locally sustainable materials and are complete with traditional red-tiled floors, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, and sizeable shade verandas overlooking the blue sea. Additionally, amenities in bungalows are mostly energy-saving devices for the utmost sense of tranquility and eco-friendliness.
“The beachside bungalow oasis was built using sustainable materials, including local woods and rammed earth. Dedication to energy, water, and nature conservation is found at every corner, from composting to low-water toilets in the (open-air) bathrooms to beds cooled by a low-energy alternative to traditional air conditioning,” Travel+Leisure wrote.
Mango Bay Resort also hosts a vast range of exciting activities on and near the beach namely yoga sessions, cooking classes, paddling, kayaking, snorkeling, as well as kids’ activities such as gardening, kite flying, and cooking class.
This list also includes Gaia Amazon, EcoLodge in Ecuador, The Datai Langkawi in Malaysia, Soneva Kiri in Thailand, and Mandapa in Indonesia.
